This weekend I had a few accomplishments that proved all the hard work I have been doing over the past 3 weeks is paying off. On Saturday, I ran for a full 10 minutes without stopping, which is a huge accomplishment for only starting to work on distance running in the last week. Then on Sunday I really pushed myself and I successfully ran for 20 minutes without stopping. I was very happy with that number. I am currently running a 15.5 minute mile. The last time I ran a 5k I was running a 14 minute mile. Not bad for a 4 year break. Over the weekend we did a road trip to Reno, which was not a good idea to do because I have a tendency to retain water on long car trips, especially in high altitudes. I think this played a part in my 3rd week weigh-in weight gain of 3 lbs (283 lbs). So the 2nd week curse actually hit me in my 3rd week. I also have a few other things that occurred at the same time that would cause the slight increase, Dante said that was normal. I am okay with that number because I didn’t fall off my diet and I was working out consistently. I did however have several inches lost, so its all good in my book. Dante took new measurements as well as pictures and I will post them as soon as I receive them.

****UPDATE**** Dante just informed me that I broke one of his records! I lost 15.3% Body Fat in 3 weeks, the record was 12% in 4 weeks. I’ve also lost a total of 29.5 inches (12 in the hip, 7.5 in the waist alone) I’ve got to stay focused this week on diet so that I can win his bet!
